La Frontera in Salt Lake City

Wonderful, solid, full-portioned, old-fashioned, authentic, Mexican food! It's not for everybody. Some newbies get impatient with the wait staff. (We don't bring them again.) They often don't take cards, only cash. It's clean, though. and a group of us from work went there regularly for excellent green chile! That was before covid-19. I can't wait to get back. We love the staff! They love us!

Been going there for years, been slow the last few years but still has great food.

Walked in with my husband and daughter only to feel like we were a burden on the one lady we saw working.We said we wanted to dine-in and she said “ok grab some menus and sit anywhere”. I guess this, coupled with the” cash only” sign is why the parking lot was empty. Disappointed because I’ve always like this franchise. Went to La Hacienda instead.

My favorite restaurant! The smothered Chili Verde burritos are by far the best in Utah. The restaurant has uniqueness to it that gives it character. The staff and waitress are the best! I highly recommend!

My favorite mexican place in Salt Lake. They have large portion sizes for your money. I have never seen them too busy. Great food!

So amazing! It's where the locals eat. Get the small combination and swap out the tostada with a cheese enchiladas.

A lot of us sincerely want to know what happened to this location. I've been visiting here for over 20 years and have always felt right at home. It's been a great, casual place for good Mexican food....so what is with the Cash Only sign and overgrown weeds all over the lot? We miss you, La Frontera! Get better soon, prayers for a quick recovery!
